Client: TAMESIDE COUNCIL
Tameside Council identified problems on the Manchester Canal Bridge with water ingressing and in winter months ice forming under the bridge presenting hazards to both pedestrian and marine traffic.
The road above was a main arterial route. Therefore traditional excavation was undesirable due to traffic disruption and the amount of identified services that would have to be navigated past in the works.
Tameside Council were enthusiastic in using an alternative undisruptive solution. However, were sold on the MC system when they learned that the system has full European drinking water approval and represented no risk to aquatic life within the canal.
