Non disruptive waterproofing solution at Parsons Cattle Creep

A stone cattle creep to allow for free movement of farm livestock under the main Bristol railway line required remedial work to ensure its’ ongoing use.

The problems associated with this structure were both structural, and water ingress related.

MC Building Chemicals were able to provide a non disruptive waterproofing solution

This innovative solution ensured no interruption to rail traffic and timetables, using our hydrostructural elastomer gel system which eliminated both water and moisture ingress by the formation of a bonded continuous waterproof barrier without the need for costly disruptions.

Prior to the waterproofing installation, the specialist injection team cleaned the stonework sympathetically by means of ultra-high pressure water jetting, ensuring there was no damage to the stonework substrate other than the removal of friable and defective pointing mortar that was then replaced after the successful installation of the waterproofing system.
