A wet well located to the sea front in Lowestoft was suffering from water ingress and H₂S gas degradation. This was causing problems downstream with the sea water making its way to the local Anglian Water treatment plant.
The repair involved cleaning of all substrates followed by leak sealing injection of joints using our MC-Injekt 2133 Flex to arrest all flowing water.
The walls were then mechanically prepared followed by re-profiling with Nafufill KM 250 structural repair mortar to effectively repair the tank ‘back to original’.
On completion the tank was lined with a 4mm coat of Ombran CPS silicate hybrid coating system that would provide a leak-tight chemical resistant liner to ensure all previous problems were eradicated.
